MIPS TECHNOLOGY FOR HELMET

Most of our brand customer designed helmets are only detected by vertical impact tests, which can be used to judge their protective abilities. Most of the time, however, once the driver falls, the head is hit by an outside impact and creates a rotationforce that ACTS on the head rather than the impact perpendicular to the brain. At this time,if there is a MIPS low friction inner layer  material, the helmet can absorb the rotationforce caused by lateral impact more and provide more protection for the head.

MIPS stands for the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. It's a slip plane liner developed to reduce rotational engergy to the brain. In a crash, 0the MIPS system allows the helmet to rotate independently around your head, redirecting impact energy which can provide more protection in certain impacts. The yellow part is the core of the MIPS: the low friction cushion between the shell and the lining, which can slide with the head in the inner shell of the helmet when hit. It is between EPS foam and lining.

Through our extensive trials, the MIPS technology can reduce the rotation speed of the helmet by 39%.we believe that helmets equipped with this technology may provide an additional measure of protection in some impacts.

We has successfully applied this technology to our products, and we now have MIPS technology helmets including Ski helmets, bike helmets and other helmets, etc.
